Ahmed’s career began in the intensive care and emergency room settings, where she spent decades as a registered nurse. She recalls having few companions besides her three horses, so she filled her days by inventing stories and sharing them with her equine friends. The narrative begins with the shocking discovery of the Speaker of the House, Pearl Owens, hanging from a veranda in the House of Representatives. This act leads to the imprisonment of the fictional U.S. President, Cameron Walker, who faces serious accusations of corruption. She attributes that success to her authenticity in writing about crisis situations and her unique perspective as a healthcare professional.
